Outstanding performance. Bic Runga performed with purity and humble class. Loved every moment. The Auckland Philharmonia are always great. And their arrangements with Bic's music was perfect, it added without taking away or overpowering her songs. Bravo. Just wish the whole night could of gone on longer. That's my only complaint if any. 10 out of 10.
What an amazing performance!m All musicians were superb Loved the music. Loved the guitarist Jiji...she played 3 encores!! The conductor was Pablo Gonzalez He was in great control but had a lovely rapport with the musicians and gave them individual recognition.
Wonderful morning with daughter in law & young grandson at Hairy Maclary concert. APO, National Theatre Children’s chorus & Jackie Clarke were all excellent. Seating in row K was great & better than expected. Booster seat for little ones and convenient car parking next door at Killarney St car park. Concert one hour long. Lovely outing
This was great for young kids, and probably their first live concert. Between the orchestra and conductor, the live narrator, the kids dance group and the large video screen showing panels of Lynley Dodd’s drawings of the characters of her books, there was a lot to keep kids engaged for the one hour running time. Just right !
It has been a while since I have been to an Orchestra Performance and I was looking forward to a night out with my daughter (a fan of Hans Zimmers music). We were not let down. The break down of the pieces played and the discussion about each piece was very interesting and the smile on my daughters face said it all. Not sure when we will have the time and the money to go to another Concert but I will be looking forward to it when we can. Brilliant work APO - keep it up.
It was a fantastic experience! We were moved to tears, especially at the end. The voice of Isolde was incredible! We would recommend it any time!
