  • Not a great show.

    by Metallicat666 on 21/04/2025Christchurch Town Hall - ChristchurchRating: 2 out of 5

I was really looking forward to seeing Supergroove, having seen them when they opened for Crowded House in 2008 and loving the energy and them powering through all the hits. This show was not great at all, there was far too much involvement from Troy Kingi, King Kapisi and Rubi Du. The power cut also didn't help, and then there was an intermission, which made zero sense. The last few songs were great, but overall, of the 100 or so concerts I have been to this was easily one of the worst.

  • Best night ever, one of my all time favourite bands

by Wenee on 20/04/2025Christchurch Town Hall - ChristchurchRating: 5 out of 5

I've been wanting to see these guys perform live for years and they didn't disappoint. They came with the same high energy they had back in the day and despite a temporary sound issue they continued to pump out their bangers all night. Took my daughter's who grew up with me blasting these guys, and other kiwi artists, they were well impressed. Their special guests King Kapisi, Troy Kingi, Ruby Du and JessB made the night even better. Such a great night, I'm can tick them off my concert bucket list 😍

Wow! What an awesome show. My wife and I had a great time. We were entertained for about 2.5 hours solid. Haven't been there for 20 years. Sound was fantastic, staff were great. Thanks for wonderful night

  • Must see

by RJS on 13/04/2025The Opera House Wellington - WellingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Was like stepping back in time. Transported to the best NZ music. Full of energy, upbeat - it never let up. I've never listened to much of Troy Kingi, but I'm going to download his music now. Masterful. Ruby Du was an unexpected delight. I honestly forgot how incredible Che Fu's voice is. He didn't miss a note all night and I could've listened for hours. King Kapisi was the perfect Crowd pleaser. I have no negatives. A must see for anyone that loves local music.

  • Amazing gig

Wow, this gig took me back 30 years, I wish I still had the same energy as then to really dance. The musicians had no trouble recreating this amazing performance, I wish I had their stamina.

  • Supergroove were Phenomonal

by BernieKelly on 11/04/2025Rating: 5 out of 5

My partner went to the Monday nights performance in Rotorua. It was magic. I loved the way Supergroove had the guest artists play with them at varying times rather than the usual before the headline act. It was a clever and entertaining night. My only down bit, towards end of concert, a couple of songs later were a bit distorted through the speakers. The standing ovation by the audience was so well deserved. Thank you Supergroove, Troy Kingi, King Capeze and Rubi Duo.

  • A Tuesday Night Triumph

by Les on 08/04/2025Rating: 5 out of 5

Supergroove blew me away! The energy and the unexpected format had me hooked. They have really put in the hours to make a great show. Rotorua's Sir Howard Morrison Centre has never rocked so hard on a Tuesday night.
