About

Metallica

Presented by The Rock, the M72 World Tour will perform in Auckland at Eden Park Stadium.

The show will feature Metallica performing at the end of each stadium and will include the infamous Snake Pit extending from the front of the stage. There will be a full complement of Enhanced Experiences available, ranging from access to a meet and greet, production and stage tour, food and beverage in the “Black Box” lounge, early entry into the venue, and the aforementioned Snake Pit. The very popular “I Disappear Ticket” will also be available, which enables fans to attend to all six shows in Australia and New Zealand, and travel packages including tickets and hotel will be available in four of the six cities.

Support on M72’s 2025 New Zealand show will come from Evanescence and Suicidal Tendencies.

As always, a portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will go to local charities via the band’s All Within My Hands foundation. Established in 2017 as a way to give back to communities that have supported Metallica over the years, All Within My Hands has raised over $15 million USD – providing $8.2 million USD in grants to career and technical education programs including the ground-breaking Metallica Scholars Initiative, now in its sixth year, over $3.6 million USD to combat food insecurity, more than $3.5 million USD to disaster relief efforts.

  • Fabulous, exciting, magic - 1 in a lifetime event

by Aaamazzzing! on 24/11/2025Eden Park - AucklandRating: 5 out of 5

Only my 2nd experience seeing Metellica - my husbands favorite band - did a belated honeymoon trip with this performance in the middle - so so happy we were able to get tickets - so blown away with the sheer number of attendees but the performance from all 3 bands beyond outstanding! The interaction, the pyrotechnics, the music - not enough words to describe the overall vibe of the entire night - entertaining & submersive from start to finish - a very humble thank you! Hope we get to do it again - soon!

Great to see them live and the leaders after a number of years from the previous tour that didn't happen.

  • Epic Night

by Shan on 23/11/2025Eden Park - AucklandRating: 5 out of 5

Metallica were bloody awesome, was such a epic night. Would definitely see them again. My 15yr old daughter was in her element seeing her favourite band 🙂

  • Metallica + Evanescence at Eden Park

by MellieBee on 22/11/2025Eden Park - AucklandRating: 5 out of 5

For me, the night was defined by the haunting beauty of Amy Lee and Evanescence, my all-time favourite band who opened with a set that was nothing short of sharp, powerful and breathtaking. Amy Lee’s vocals were flawless and the band locked in tight! Metallica followed with pure energy, delivering the heavy riffs and classics that had the stadium shaking. Two very different styles, one epic night!

  • Absolutely Awesome

    by Phara666 on 22/11/2025Eden Park - AucklandRating: 5 out of 5

Had a absolutely awesome time, first time seeing all the Bands. Slowly coming down from the high of seeing Metallica play. Hopefully they will come back.

  • Absolutely Amazing

by Shaz on 21/11/2025Eden Park - AucklandRating: 5 out of 5

Metallica absolutely blew the roof off Auckland. From the second the lights dropped and those iconic first riffs hit, the entire stadium erupted. The energy was unreal — that perfect mix of goosebumps, nostalgia, and pure heavy-metal adrenaline. James Hetfield’s vocals were on point, raw and powerful, and the band sounded tighter than ever. Kirk’s solos were out of this world — those soaring bends and rapid-fire runs literally had the crowd screaming. Rob tore into the bass lines like a beast, and Lars… well, he was full-throttle the whole night, keeping the heartbeat of the show pounding through everyone’s chest. The setlist was perfection: a mix of new tracks, massive classics, and fan favourites that had every person on their feet. When “Nothing Else Matters” hit, the stadium lit up like stars — it felt like one giant moment of connection. And of course, “Enter Sandman” shook the place. Pure magic. The stage production was next level. Huge screens, insane lighting, flames, visuals that moved with every beat — Metallica didn’t just put on a concert, they put on a full sensory experience.

  • Epic night! METALLICA!!!

by Annette Wangas on 21/11/2025Eden Park - AucklandRating: 5 out of 5

What an awesome show! Considering there was 55k people, everything was pretty smooth. The supporting bands did a great job and Metallica went off! Awesome set list! 3rd time I've seen them (all NZ) and they never disappoint! The lasers and fireworks were a new touch! We all had a great night! A bit pricey but so glad we went!!!

  • Metallica Rocks!

by Stefhan on 21/11/2025Eden Park - AucklandRating: 5 out of 5

  • Great band terrible venue

by Velaluisio on 21/11/2025Eden Park - AucklandRating: 3 out of 5

The sound was terrible and the lines for merchandise, transport etc were out of control. Mt Smart is a way better venue. Good to see Metallica, they put on a good show but I won’t be returning to Eden Park in a hurry.
