About Aronui Indigenous Arts Festival

Taurite By Hawaiki Tu

They sold out at the Fringe Festival in February 2020 and won Pick of the Fringe and best dance awards. Now, Haka Theatre company, Hawaiki Tū present a powerful Māori dance work 'Taurite' embodying the virtue of balance and duality.

This vital and ritualistic experience invokes its ancestral roots in an indigenous physical expression of the contemporary journey to reclamation.

Lockdown Soul Sessions

Aronui Indigenous Arts Festival, Tumiki Music and Te Puia are proud to bring you Lockdown Soul Sessions - Live & Unlocked.

We want to thank those contributors by creating Rotorua’s own version of America’s Got Talent. This is an acknowledgement of what they have done for our community spirit!

Please show your support for local artists and join us on the 12th of September.
