About

ZZ TOP New Zealand 2025

ZZ TOP, “That Little Ol’ Band From Texas” has been at it for well over a half century, delivering rock, blues and boogie on the road and in the studio to millions of devoted fans.  With classic songs such as “Sharp Dressed Man”, “Legs” and “Gimme Me All Your Lovin” and iconography as distinctive as their sound, ZZ TOP is virtually synonymous with beards, hot-rod cars, spinning guitars and that magic keychain, all of which transcend geography and language.
As a touring entity, the bands current line-up of Billy Gibbons, Frank Beard and Elwood Francis have performed before millions of fans on four continents.
They have sold hundreds of millions of records over the course of their career, have been officially designated as Heroes of The State of Texas, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (by Keith Richards, no less) and have been referenced in countless cartoons and sitcoms. They are true rock icons and, against all odds, they’re really just doing what they’ve always done.

  • Simply Awesome

by Kezza on 22/05/2025Rating: 5 out of 5

I haven't seen George Thorogood live before, he was great! But for me, ZZ Top was the highlight of the night. I first saw them back in the 80's, Billy is still as good now as he was back then. No Dusty and no Frank, but ZZ Top still put on an awesome show. No need to turn any song into a 10 minute anthem, Billy plays them as he wrote them. From start to finish, simply awesome!

  • Terrible sound

by Music fan on 22/05/2025Spark Arena - AucklandRating: 3 out of 5

Venue as usual terrible for clear sound the bass was like an earthquake in zz top performance. Mix way to loud drowning out George thorogood voice

  • ZZ Top dispersed the cold and rain in Wellington

by Leo on 22/05/2025TSB Arena - WellingtonRating: 5 out of 5

ZZ Top showed Wellington the energy of Rock'n'Roll. At 75 years of age, they are not slowing down and are using all that experience to play on stage. What a night to remember. They've turned an uggly, cold, rainy Sunday in Wellington into a spectacle of light, guitars and soul. The crowd sure felt they were giving all their lovin'!

Two great bands doing a great show, pity the venue wasn’t as good! Far too long were the cues for the Merch, wine and toilets, missed some of the support act and I’d allowed an hour for the above! 😳 also far far too long to get out from the venue carpark st the end of the night. The sound in TSB ain’t great at the best of times and this was another one where it was bearable at best. The bands however covered themselves with glory and I feel sorry for future generations who will only have bland overproduced performers to look forward to, while we can still get authentic hard touring rock musicians who bleed the music from every pore and wring out every once of soul from their instruments, I hope we can get a few more of these legends through before they stop touring for good! P.S The venue staff were excellent by the way!

  • Great

Only complaint i would have was the scanning of your phone going out and in again i think they could come up with a better system.

  • Not impressed

by Gaza. on 20/05/2025Spark Arena - AucklandRating: 3 out of 5

Personally I thought it was badly organized, we paid good money for a meal I thought and basically got snacks and bar closed at 9.00 just as george thourogood finished, I wouldn't purchase premium tickets again. Concert was good though.
