Thom Yorke: Radiohead frontman announces Auckland date,October 2024.
Renowned British musician, visual artist and composer,THOMYORKEannounces Auckland show this October. Having last visited our shores in 2012 [with Radiohead], this will be Yorke’s first ever solo tour of his enduring career offering a unique perspective on his vast body of work.
The evening’s performance will draw from material spanning his musical career, fromRadioheadthrough his various solo and soundtrack projects, to his most recent work withThe Smile.
Yorke is best known as lead singer and songwriter of seminal band Radiohead, since their formation the group has released 9 albums, selling in excess of 30 million albums. Radiohead have been awarded several Grammy and Ivor Novello Awards and their critically acclaimed music is widely regarded as some of the most celebrated and influential work of recent decades. As a result, the band has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and their 1997 landmark album ‘OKComputer’is preserved in the US Library of Congress.
Away from Radiohead, Yorke has released three solo studio albums ‘The Eraser’(2006),‘Tomorrow’sModern Boxes’(2014) andAnima(2019).

Thom Yorke was brilliant but so many people were recording video on their phones it was distracting. They should stay home and watch on YouTube. It shouldn’t have been seated, I wanted to dance 🕺🏻!!!
True evening of musical genius! Eclectic mix of electronica and acoustic set brilliance with an imaginative audio visual experience for the packed arena. As usual the Spark arena’s friendly and helpful staff made for a relaxed and chilled concert venue experience.
This was my first time seeing Thom. He's been on my bucket list. He didn't disappoint. I found it quite an intimate show. Just him on stage. He mentioned he hates working alone, but acknowledged the many who make it possible. I loved the lighting and the lights that formed his face while he sang and played. I've never seen anything like that before. There were so many songs that he didn't play, but Thom is spectacular and the crowd adored him. Many "woos"from young ladies in the audience, who just wanted to hear themselves, I could have done without. It was an honour seeing Thom perform, a really great show
