About Test Event - Do Not Purchase
Australian painter Rod Moss has written two compelling memoirs – The Hard Light of Day and One Thousand Cuts – the former winning the Prime Minister’s Literary Award. Both take readers into the Australian interior, to the Northern Territory’s MacDonnell Ranges and the Arrernte culture, but also to the violence, alcoholism and ill-health that decimates Aboriginal communities still. Moss weaves a powerful narrative, which ultimately celebrates the transformative power of whitefella and blackfella friendship. Chaired by Stephanie Johnson. Supported by the Australia Council for the Arts.
