    Absolutely delightful evening!

by Mauinan on 04/12/2024The Opera House Wellington - Wellington

John’s humor and storytelling is a breath of fresh air in today’s too woke world. Had a wonderful time. Can’t wait until he returns in the future.

Great evening in the company of a great comedian

by spleet on 04/12/2024The Opera House Wellington - Wellington

Wasn't sure quite what to expect. I had seen John on chat shows before and read how big he was, but aware he'd been away from the circuit for a while. Not your typical stand up routine, the comedy woven in through at times touching life stories and real experiences. But it's what made it different and great. John carried the audience with him all the time, no heckling, everyone almost hanging on his every word, and when there was a punchline it brought the house down, and when there wasn't it was equally as impressive, because you knew it was real and genuine, and it would lead into another. It was more like one of those 'an evening with' shows at times, and everyone loved it for that. My wife is a convert, even though she struggled with few words of the scouse accent. I for one will be keeping an eye out for future tours if he makes it back to New Zealand, we both said we'd keen to go to another of his shows. The Opera House, while a lovely venue, was however steaming hot and very cramped, which for a sell out show that ran well over 2 hours made it a bit of an exercise in endurance, for a lesser act I think there might have been a few people leaving early from the upper tiers.

    John Bishop

by JW on 04/12/2024The Opera House Wellington - Wellington

Entry was easy as was finding our seats at The Opera House in Wellington. Great view 16 rows back semi middle! Show started right on time at 8.00 with a 20 minute break at 8.50. Show was great we both really enjoyed it and when they opened the doors at half time the slight breeze was a welcome relief, unfortunately they closed them when the second half started and it was hot. We have always enjoyed John Bishop "on the telly"and he was probably better live - highly recommended!

Really loved the show-so so funny! First half was great but the 2nd half was just hysterical and the concept was so realistic that so many there could relate to it- brilliant!

What a brilliant story teller and comedian just throughly enjoyed this comedian such class and engaged with the audience even on his day off a Monday! Why did it take so long to get him here? Would be super keen to return next time he comes!

    A great night

by Pamela on 03/12/2024Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre - Auckland

Tickets easily kept on the App on my phone. Quick and easy access into seats, half an hour before the show. John Bishop didn't disappoint, very funny but also very poignant and real. Enjoyed every minute.
