Autaia is to be extra ordinary. Join us as we showcase the vibrancy and creativity of rangatahi in the one-night Haka Theatre show - Autaia!

10 Schools and Kura Kaupapa Māori from across Tāmaki Makaurau including - for the very first time as part of the Autaia expansion - 3 schools from Te Tai Tokerau, will come together on August 21 to present their 10-minute Haka Theatre masterpieces to the world.

Presented by Hawaiki TŪ and supported by Auckland Live, rangatahi explore different aspects involved in Haka Theatre. Whether it be performance, directing, choreography, costume and set design, sound or lighting, all culminating in a 10-minute performance. Students also have the opportunity to learn from expert practitioners in the field and achieve NCEA credits.
