Elemental Nights brings an exclusively curated concert series, showcasing an impressive international line-up, alongside beloved Aotearoa acts, to Tāmaki Makaurau. Loyle CarnerIDLES and Tove Lo all perform exclusively at Elemental Nights in Auckland – it’s the only chance to catch them live in NZ.

Tāmaki Makaurau’s most iconic venues will be transformed into temporary works of art, with the midwinter concert series bringing a line-up of world class artists right to the heart of Auckland city, with a second line up announce to follow soon.

Following their fully sold-out AU/NZ tour last year, IDLES, kick off Elemental Nights at Spark Arena on Friday 21 July. Known for her high energy floor-filling live shows, Tove Lo takes the Town Hall stage along with Loyle Carner fresh off the release of his album ‘Hugo’, and New Zealand Order of Merit, Bic Runga, celebrating the 20th anniversary of her iconic album ‘Beautiful Collision’.

IDLES are returning bigger and better at ever at Spark ArenaThe much loved UK rock band have had number one albums, sell out practically all their shows and play festival headline sets around the world. Their most recent album CRAWLER, which was nominated for ‘Best Rock Album’ Grammy contained the buzzsaw urgency that their now global fanbase had come to expect but expanded its sound with more melodic and introspective songs. IDLES’ energy on stage is unlikely anyone else and they are bound to bring the heat to Spark Arena.

The Sweden-born and Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and artist Tove Lo has made waves worldwide with her platinum-certified albums and GRAMMY®Award nominations. As a songwriter behind-the-scenes, she’s penned music for everyone from Lorde to Zara Larsson in addition to co-writing Ellie Goulding’s quintuple-platinum “Love Me Like You Do” for Fifty Shades of Grey. Among numerous collaborations, she joined forces with Nick Jonas for the platinum “Close” and Flume on the gold certified “Say It” in addition to anthems with Alesso, Coldplay, Martin Garrix, Charli XCX, Sean Paul, ALOK, and Major Lazer, to name a few. On her last NZ run Tove Lo sold out Auckland’s Powerstation in a heartbeat, so don’t sit on this one!

Bic Runga (Ngāti Kahungunu, Rongomaiwahine) has been awarded almost every musical honour in New Zealand, including the prestigious APRA Silver Scroll songwriting award. Bic has won the most Tui Awards (New Zealand Music Awards) has won Best Female Vocalist four times and Best Producer three times. Bic’s second album ‘Beautiful Collision’, released in 2002 was certified an incredible eleven times platinum and featured the hits Get Some SleepSomething Good and Listening For The Weather. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of ‘Beautiful Collision’ Bic will perform the album in its entirety in 2023 across Aotearoa and in Auckland as part of Elemental Nights.

Heading to NZ on an all-time high, following the release of his album 'Hugo', Loyle Carner brings his magnetic personality to the Auckland Town Hall stage in his first ever NZ headline show. He has captured the imagination of British music with endless sincerity and unabashed openness. Two albums that have cracked the top five of the Official Albums Chart, a nomination for the prestigious Mercury Prize, nominations at the BRIT Awards and won an NME Award. Loyle Carner continues to stake his claim as one of the most accomplished British rappers in history.

Live Nation New Zealand’s Head Promoter Renée Hermsen says, “Thanks to the support from Tātaki Unlimited we are bringing Elemental Nights back for the fourth time, and we couldn’t be more excited. This first line up announcement is our biggest yet, with a slate of international and domestic super stars you only get a chance to see this winter, here in Tāmaki Makaurau.”
