Dunedin Railway Station Tickets

The Dunedin Railway Station is located in the heart of Dunedin, just a short walk from the Octagon. Entry to events at the Dunedin Railway Station are through the front entrance on Anzac Avenue.

Please visit https://www.orc.govt.nz/public-transport/dunedin-busesor to check up-to-date bus timetables. The nearest designated taxi stand is in the Octagon - a short walk up Stuart Street from the Dunedin Railway Station's main entrance. All taxis can also drop off and pick up passengers at the North and South ends of the Railway Station.

The Dunedin Railways office opens 1 hour prior to public train service departures. For exact times, please refer to your ticket. For ticketing enquiries outside of service times, please contact Dunedin Railways at info@dunedinrailways.co.nz. Box-office/Door sales based on availability.

There is plenty of on-street and off-street parking around the Dunedin Railway Station. For pay by plate fees parking fees and locations, please visit https://www.dunedin.govt.nz/services/parking/where-you-can-park/pay-by-plate-car-parks. If you have a campervan, the best place to park is the Thomas Burns Street Carpark. After parking, you can use the foot bridge to walk over the tracks to the Railway Station.

Passengers can check-in 1 hour before a train service departs. Check-in ends 15 minutes before departure.

All children (including infants) under the age of 14 require a ticket and must be supervised by an accompanying adult.
