About Digital Nights Wellington - Van Gogh Alive

Following the move to Alert Level One on 21 September, we were able to release additional tickets for the remainder of the season. However demand for Digital Nights Wellington has been extraordinary, and some nights are now at capacity under Level One. If a date is showing as ‘limited availability’ or ‘low availability’, these sessions are full and we encourage you to search for alternative dates. Tickets are selling fast, and we apologise if your first date preference is no longer available.

Please note, all sessions for the remainder of the season are now operating at Level One capacity. The event remains subject to COVID-19 Alert Level requirements and tickets may be refunded if the Alert Level changes, due to circumstances beyond our control.

Don’t just admire Van Gogh’s paintings – immerse yourself in them in the most visited multi-sensory experience in the world – now under the night skies of Wellington.

Vincent van Gogh’s works have been displayed and enjoyed around the world for over a century, but never like this. Created by Grande Exhibitions, Digital Nights – Van Gogh Alive is an outdoor art spectacular that gives you the unique opportunity to immerse yourself into Van Gogh’s artistry and truly venture into his world. A 45 minute, walkthrough exhibition, from the moment you enter a powerful and vibrant symphony of light, colour and classical sound bring Van Gogh's masterpieces to life, giving you the sensation of walking right into his paintings; a feeling that is simultaneously enchanting, entertaining and educational. Adults and children alike will forge their own paths and find their own meaning as they wander among masterpieces on a monumental scale under the night sky at Wellington’s iconic waterfront space, Odlins Plaza. Acclaimed as the most visited multi-sensory experience in the world, visitors are calling Van Gogh Alive ‘stimulating’, ‘engulfing’ and ‘unforgettable’ this is no ordinary art exhibition: experience it for yourself!

Covid-19 Update: The exhibition will still go ahead at Alert Level 2. We are committed to running a safe and enjoyable event for you and your family. In designing our event site we have allowed plenty of room to allow for social distancing between groups and will be able to meet all Government requirements for operating under Alert Level 2 restrictions.

In keeping with this we ask that you please stay home if sick. If you are unable to attend due to cold and flu symptoms, you can contact Ticketmaster up to 4 hours before your scheduled session and we will happily reschedule your attendance.

If New Zealand moves to Alert Level 3 or 4, the exhibition will close and tickets will be refunded.
