With over 45 years as a recording artist, Sir Dave Dobbyn has shaped the sound of Kiwi music, penning the soundtrack to generations of New Zealand lives. From iconic anthems to an extraordinary catalogue of deeper cuts, Dobbyn’s set for the Auckland Winter Series promises an unforgettable journey through one of the nation’s most storied songwriting legacies. 

Diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2022, Dobbyn declared it “business as usual” – and continues to inspire with his unmistakable voice and enduring presence on stage. Recognised with a Knighthood in 2001 for his services to music, Dobbyn remains one of New Zealand’s most revered cultural figures. 

Auckland Winter Series is a new curated concert experience from Live Nation, in association with Tātaki Auckland Unlimited on behalf of Auckland Council. Featuring an eclectic lineup of international icons and homegrown heroes, the series brings world-class performances to the heart of Tāmaki Makaurau this June.

Please adhere to the published ticket limit. Persons who exceed the ticket limit may have any or all of their orders and tickets cancelled without notice by Ticketmaster at its discretion. This includes orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or any other information.

We’ve updated our seating framework to include a larger range of accessible seating options. There will be an option for every price level and package available for Dave Dobbyn.
Accessible seats can be purchased by calling our Customer Service team on the Accessible Bookings line: 09 970 9711. This phone number is reserved for patrons with accessibility requirements and can not process any other ticketing requests. Accessible tickets, both during presales and the general public sale period, can also be requested via our Submit a request – Ticketmaster Help(Opens in new tab). Please be sure to include your relevant presale code with your request if wanting to make a booking during the presale period.

    What an honour to see Sir Dave at 68 - still going strong. I imagine choosing a setlist from his massive catalogue wasn't easy. The highlight for me was hearing his deep cuts live! So many of his lyrics carry depth and offer hope. An incredible, humble, kind, and prophetic singer-songwriter-musician. God bless you Dave. Keep drinking from the river, and pour the wine - like you said, it's business as usual. Hope to see perform in Auckland again.

    Dave and his excellent band played a selection of lesser known album tracks as well as his iconic favourites. Everything about the concert was balanced and beautifully played. Mr Dobbyn should take this show around the provinces- it deserves to be seen by his many fans.
