GRAMMY winner Billy Strings makes his debut shows down under in July!

Raised in Michigan and now based in Nashville, Billy Strings is one of music’s most compelling artists. In the midst of yet another landmark year, Strings released his acclaimed new album, Highway Prayers, in 2024 on Reprise Records. Produced by Strings and Jon Brion (Fiona Apple, Mac Miller), the record debuted at #1 on Billboard’s all-genre Top Album Sales chart – the first time in 22 years that a bluegrass album has been the top-selling album across genres. Continuing to receive overwhelming praise, GQ calls Strings “the hottest roots-music phenomenon in decades,” while Pitchfork declared, “the bluegrass wunderkind expands his palette, exploring new textures and emotional registers while staying true to his beloved genre.”

The new project follows Strings’ first live album, Billy Strings Live Vol. 1, which debuted at#1 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Albums chart and is nominated for Best Bluegrass Album at the upcoming Grammy Awards. Since his 2017 debut, Strings has also been awarded Best Bluegrass Album at the 63rd Grammy Awards, Artist of the Year at the 2023 and 2022Americana Music Awards, Entertainer of the Year at the 2023, 2022 and 2021 International Bluegrass Music Awards, Best New Headliner at the 2022 Pollstar Awards and Breakthrough Artist of the Pandemic at the 2021 Pollstar Awards among several other accolades. Known for his electric live shows, Strings has performed countless sold-outdates worldwide and will continue to tour through this year with upcoming stops across the U.S. in addition to the new dates in New Zealand and Australia.

November 2024 saw him perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon before ringing in the new year with three huge arena dates in New Orleans. With a 19-date run announced for the US Spring, Strings will fly south to Australia and New Zealand for his debut live shows down under in July.

There is a strict limit of four (4) tickets per customer for the presale and eight (8) tickets per customer for the General Public for Billy Strings. 

Please adhere to the published ticket limit. Persons who exceed the ticket limit may have any or all of their orders and tickets cancelled without notice by Ticketmaster at its discretion. This includes orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or any other information.

We’ve updated our seating framework to include a larger range of accessible seating options. There will be an option for every price level and package available for Billy Strings.
Accessible seats can be purchased by calling our Customer Service team on the Accessible Bookings line: 09 970 9711. This phone number is reserved for patrons with accessibility requirements and can not process any other ticketing requests. Accessible tickets, both during presales and the general public sale period, can also be requested via our Submit a request – Ticketmaster Help(Opens in new tab). Please be sure to include your relevant presale code with your request if wanting to make a booking during the presale period.

We expect that tickets to Billy Strings will be in high demand, and to make the process fair for everyone you may be placed in a queue.

You will be assigned a random place in the queue once the onsale starts. Your place in the queue is not based on what time you entered the Waiting Room. We suggest entering the Waiting Room 15-30 minutes prior to the start of the Presale.

Once you get your spot in the queue, please do not refresh your browser as you will be pushed to the end of the line.

We will get you through the queue as quickly as possible, so please sit tight.

    Seeing Billy strings live in Auckland at spark Arena was a dream come true for me as I’ve been following his music online for many years and trying to work out how I was going to get to America to see this amazing group of musicians. I was thrilled when I heard they were coming to Australia in New Zealand and encourage friends and family to come along as well so we had a group of six and it was a fantastic concert. Billy strings played two 75 minute set with a short break in between. The venue was excellent sound was brilliant although might have been a couple of decibels too loud, well for my ears anyway. The clarity of the sound was amazing and the lighting was cool. All round a great venue to see live music and if anyone ever gets a chance again to see Billy strings live you should jump at it cause they are fantastic musicians.

    It was a high precision show moving from traditional style Bluegrass to rock to psychodelic seamlessly. This is an interesting and Very entertaining view of where Bluegrass can go.
