About

In November 2023, Auckland FC was officially announced in New Zealand, capitalising on the rapid growth of football, with over 100,000 Kiwis participating in the sport across Auckland.

In 2024, a group of passionate football enthusiasts had a bold vision: to create a new football club for Auckland. A club that would inspire fans, offer opportunities to players, and elevate the city into the A-League.

Thus, Auckland FC was born. With the strong support of Bill Foley and his global sports consortium, the club emerged at a time when football was experiencing significant growth in New Zealand, with over 40,000 players in Auckland alone.

Under the leadership of Club CEO Nick Becker and head coach Steve Corica, Auckland FC is set to establish Aotearoa’s largest city and Oceania’s fifth-largest city as a prominent force in elite professional football.

    Great game

    by Sparky on 23/10/2024

Great game shame about the queue for the refreshments.I have just been to the Euros in Germany and even with 100,000 fans i still managed to get a beer and food in a few minutes. Why is it at every event in NZ you have to queue for ages to get anything when will the organizers look overseas and learn. Going to the game on Sunday but there are no trains running going to be interesting getting 3 buses from downtown.WOULD NEVER HAPPEN IF IT WAS THUGBY

Great game but worrying exit from the stand

by Enzo on 21/10/2024Go Media Stadium - Auckland

A great afternoon's football and great atmosphere in a packed stadium. But when it came time to leave the Upper East stand it took about 20 - 25 minutes to exit the stand as there was only one main exit for this part of the ground. The delay to leave was a pain but much more concerned about what would happen in the event of a fire or other mishap. This is a serious danger that needs to be fixed by the stadium and quickly. There were so many kids at the game too. Not sure why the external stairway exit at the end of the stand could not be used at the end of the game.

Better stadium with nearby bars needed

by Slash on 20/10/2024Go Media Stadium - Auckland

Good experience. Ticketing is not good if you hold all tickets and have to meet someone inside as you can't screen shot tickets. Caused me to miss first goal. No bars or eateries within easy walking distance. Bring on the new stadium.
