Was very disappointed in this show. Not enough of on stage characters, too many videos and recaps. Seemed very scripted and was like a Graham Norton interview on the couch, was expecting at least a great ending at least but that seemed rushed and flat No way worth the ticket price. Would not recommend.

Would have liked more readings from books as they liked Davids story telling

  • Venue let down

by Mel on 30/09/2024Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre - AucklandRating: 4 out of 5

Enjoyed the show. But. There were children in the audience crying, shouting, fidgeting. It was NOT an appropriate show for kids and the noise was very distracting. Venue should not have allowed children. Very poor form.

  • VIP Experience

VIP experience, we got to meet and greet David and received one complimentary drink. The show was great, we learned a lot about Davids's journey toward becoming the celebrity he is today. He also acknowledged people who inspired him and annoyed him and his co-star in the comedy show Little Britain. The location of the event was great. The only criticism about the venue was they could have had a separate line for VIPs. (Line at the bar.) The staff needs to understand the venue where they are working. We were told there would be a drinks table inside the theatre, for VIPs which was not the case. Apart from that the show was fantastic and it was an absolute privilege to meet a talented man, who makes the world lighter through comedy.

  • Dreadful David and the Diabolic Show

by Disappointed on 29/09/2024Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre - AucklandRating: 1 out of 5

Well the expectation was huge- my favourite comedian coming to town. He strutted down the aisle like a super star and we all swooned. But a couple of lacklustre readings later and half a show of children being interviewed and some dull commentary and we were done. The children left disappointed and I wishing instead we had had Little Britain on stag instead!.
