About
Triple Thriller Main title Fight is back on , as replacement is found for Robert Berridge.
Samoan Light Heavy Weight Champ. " Silimai Letoa” has agreed to step up at the 11th hour replacing the injured Robert Berridge in Tomorrow 's Triple Thriller main event
Yesterday Pound 4 Pound Promoter Inga Tuigamala was placed in an invidious race against time after Berridge's medical certificate revealed serve bruising to a knuckle in his left hand.
The injury was sustained last Wednesday, yet it took Berridge 6 days to get an independent physician before he was declared unfit to fight.
While the Triple Thriller has lost NZ's highest currently world ranked professional, Tuigamala says the show must go on and Andrian Taihia will still get his title shot with Berridge agreeing to relinquish one of his belts
So Taihia who's (pro record stands at 11 wins 1 loss and 2 draws) will take on Letoa ( 14 wins 14 losses 1 draw ) for WBA Pan Asian title in the main event.
The under card also features Inga and his 2 sons who will be making history as the first family trio from 2 generations fighting in the same pro event .
