Driving Directions It's a 48-minute trip from Auckland according to the driving directions on Wises and 60 minutes according to Google Maps. * Drive north on State Highway 1 to Warkworth. * Turn right at the second set of traffic lights into Sandspit Rd, then left into Matakana Rd, following the signs to Matakana, Omaha Beach and Leigh. * You'll drive past the Warkworth Golf Club on the right, and just after that you'll descend the hill to a wonderful aerial view of Ascension Wine Estate.
